Pasty: [pronounced pass’tee].  The rutabaga pasty is a pastry shell filled with ground beef, rutabaga, chopped potatoes, carrots, onions, salt and pepper. The pasties are assembled and partially baked, ready for you to keep in your freezer.  Simply put the frozen pasty on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour for a delicious meal!
